MySupport is an online platform that makes it easy for people with disabilities, seniors, and their families to find direct support workers who can meet their needs and match their values and lifestyle at the same time.

We believe that people with disabilities, senior citizens and others who need services have the right to choice and control over their own lives. Our platform makes self-directed services a viable option for all with a seamless, one-stop interface that recognizes the importance of finding the right worker for the right client. To sign up for a MySupport account go here. Let us know if you’re a support worker or if you are seeking support, then fill out some basic information about yourself (name, address, email, etc.) and you’re in business.
At MySupport, we value control and privacy, and we recognize the importance of trust in building quality direct support relationships. The MySupport platform is secure, and you can directly control how much information other users on the MySupport platform see about you. As you build trust with potential workers or clients, you can change what information they see.

When you create an account, you can indicate that you are a family member and use the platform the same way that a person served or a worker would.

MySupport is free to people with support needs and to workers.

When you create a MySupport account, you will be prompted to answer questions about your experiences, values, and lifestyle. The more questions you answer the more accurate the matches will be. When you search for workers or clients, you can choose to have your results sorted by distance from your home/work, gender, funding categories, or other characteristics. You will then be shown a list of people with a compatibility percentage based on the questions that you have answered. You can save profiles that interest you and message potential clients or workers.
Yes, you don't need to have a cell phone to use MySupport. A cellphone is required to use the text message reminder feature, however.
Yes, it’s fine if you don’t have a computer. MySupport can be used on a smart phone or any other computer that you can access whether it is at a library, a family member’s house, or a community center.
MySupport is currently available in the San Francisco Bay area. If you would like MySupport to be available in your area, let us know!

Once you are logged into your MySupport account and have filled out your
ABOUT
section and answered the matching
QUESTIONS
click on
SCHEDULE
. Use the prior weekprior week arrows next weeknext week to choose to the week that you would like to schedule. Click on the underneath the days that you would schedule and input the times that you have shifts during the week. You can check the repeat weekly box if you would like this shift to recur and how long you would like it to recur. You can also identify where you would like shift to occur (home, work, etc).
When you are logged into MySupport and in the Schedule section, click on
INVITE WORKER TO MYSUPPORT
and let us know what their email is. Your worker will receive an invitation to create a MySupport Account.
When you are in your schedule, click on a shift. Select the worker drop down menu, and it will show any worker profiles that you have recently viewed or saved. Choose the worker that you would like to offer the shift to, and you have the option to offer the shift to the worker every time a particular shift occurs. You can select whether or not you want you and your worker to receive text message reminders before a shift is about to begin. Save the shift, and the worker will receive a notification that they have been offered a shift.
You can contact workers before you offer them shifts through MySupport’s messaging feature. When you search for workers or view worker profiles, you can click on
MESSAGE
and communicate with workers directly and privately before meeting with them in person.
No. You can take the schedule that you have created on MySupport and export it into a time sheet that you can send in.

Workers

Once you are logged into your MySupport account and have filled out your

. Use the prior week arrows next week to choose to the week that you would like to schedule.
Clients can offer shifts to workers who can meet their needs, values, and availability. If a client offers you a shift, you will receive a notification. When you receive the notification, you can confirm it.
You can contact clients through MySupport’s messaging feature. When you search for clients or view client profiles, you can click on
MESSAGE
and communicate with clients directly and privately before meeting with them in person.
MySupport makes finding and scheduling clients easier. It doesn’t make any changes to how you get paid.

Yes. MySupport does provide trainings to orient staff to the various features of the platform.
